An Intimate Experience – Una experiencia Intima

This week we went on our Valentine’s day date to this amazing place in Panama City, Intimo Restaurante. Great food (farm to table, using 90% local ingredients and definitely taking them to the next level). This restaurant has a total of 22 seats and their specialty is their tasting menu (which you can pair up with their house cocktails), or you can order a la carte. I totally recommend this place and if you can get a seat at the chef’s bar, go for it! When doing the reservation we asked if they could make us a kosher friendly menu and they were super up for it. We didn’t feel we missed a thing, it was truly delicious.

Esta semana tuvimos nuestro date de San Valentin en este lugar espectacular en Ciudad de Panama, Intimo Restaurante. La comida increible (de la granja a la mesa, usando 90% ingredientes locales y llevandolos definitivamente al siguiente nivel). Este restaurante tiene un total de 22 puestos y su especialidad es su menu de degustacion  (que puedes acompanar con sus cocteles de la casa), o puedes pedir a la carta. Lo recomiendo full y si pueden reservar en la barra del chef, háganlo. Les pedimos si nos podían hacer un menu “kosher friendly” y con gusto nos lo hicieron. No sentimos que nos perdimos nada, fue simplemente delicioso.

We started with the Corn soup and sliced mushrooms/ Empezamos con la Sopa de maiz con sofrito y sabor a tamal con hongos fileteados

Sushi made with rice, local beans and coconut milk, over a spinach leaf and topped with a sweet plantain slice / Sushi de arroz con frijol chiricano y coco sobre hoja de espinaca y tajada encima

Frijoles chiricanos braised in tamarind and cane sugar bbq sauce  served with watermelon and micro arugula / Frijoles chiricanos con salsa barbacoa de tamarindo y raspadura, servido con sandia y micro arugula
